No two disasters are alike, but that should not stop us from being able to act quickly in dire situations. The Disaster Assessment Services LLC team has been involved in many unique and devastating situations, dealt with the aftermath of Hurricanes of many names, and is committed to finding the right solution to each problem.
Since we know that not one fix is right for all, our team is able and willing to deploy manpower and assets to the scene to provide maximum efficiency. By providing “boots on the ground” we are able to communicate effectively in difficult scenarios, and our experienced team has a record of solving problems that would be impossible to accomplish from a desk hundreds of miles away. .
We work with private groups, nonprofits, religious groups, insurance companies, disaster relief organizations, governmental agencies, and more.
Sometimes the most difficult and damaging part of a disaster is what happens after the disaster. Our team is committed to providing the help needed, in the most efficient manner possible, to help as much as possible.
Comprised of professionals in the construction and maritime industries, including former military officers, our experience dates back to relief efforts in Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Our most recent efforts were employed in the British Virgin Islands in 2016-2018 following Hurricane Irma, which ravaged the 43 Island archipelago with 200 plus mile an hour winds.
We arrived in the BVI within 2 weeks to begin assisting with the assessment of damage to structures and the coordination of the delivery of building materials, tools and equipment to create habitability for both the indigenous population, as well as contractors and government oversight officials. We were on scene in Tortola from September of 2017 until the Spring of 2018, and coordinated the repair of 2 small resorts and numerous homes for habitability. In addition, we provided marine assets to assist on the islands of Virgin Gorda, Jost van Dyke and Peter Island.
